Potty Training Boys?

I am thinking about giving this a go. Anyone have any hints or ideas? What worked for you?

I dreaded potty training with my son but it actually was a lot easier than I had anticipated. I knew he was "ready" when he started coming to me and letting me know he needed a new diaper. Since it was during the summer, I basically just let him run naked all day (we spent a lot of time in non-carpeted areas or outside during that time). He quickly started to recognize the sensation of needing to go.I tried using stickers for positive reinforcement but he wasn't really into them and I found that verbal praise and his pride were strong enough to keep him on track during the training stage. I need to get started now with my daughter. Good luck and I hope it goes smoothly!

We practiced EC with our son at 3 months. We were very lax about it, if he had an accident, no prob. He stopped wearing diapers at 1 1/2 years. I think potty training boys is very easy. (my experience) I am a SAHM so I'm sure that helps.
He went around our house naked a lot.
We sat him on the potty when he woke from naps, nighttime, before lunch, before trips into town...etc
Being consistent is key!
Good Luck!

I'm with the naked concept. What worked for me was waiting until my son was interested (don't push them) and then spend a week without clothes on. Obviously this could be hard with two (isn't everything?) or in the winter... it was December when my oldest was ready so we turned up the heat and stayed home. It wasn't too bad. I can't say enough about how waiting until they are ready is the key. Good luck!
